AGM, New Trustees and Much Much More !!!

The past few months have been a very busy time for FASS. At the beginning of the year our membership stood at 200 families and now we have over 500. This is due to the greater exposure Fass has experienced through our Fun raising and now having a greater presents on social media. We have increased our catchment area to cover the whole of Hampshire and West Sussex and now have a side shoot of our charity to include the raising numbers of Home Educated Autistic children. Details of this can be found on our Facebook Group “Home Education and the Autistic Spectrum Hampshire and West Sussex”.

As well as our membership growing we have increased our choice of activities too. We still have the old favourites, Cooking, Monkey Bizness, Water Sports etc but now we have World of Plays, New swimming with Inflatables, Chocolate Workshops, Pottery Painting, Horse Riding, Arts and Crafts Sessions and more.

Due to this increase we have needed to take on two Activity Supervisors, Holly and Craig. Both are experienced with children on the spectrum and have been invaluable in helping us at this busy time. All our activities will have with a supervisor or a trustee in attendance.

This year has seen many parents stepping forward wanting to be involved in FASS. We have gained our official Volunteer Emily who you will see at activities when she is not at college and parents applying to be Trustees.

In October we had our AGM. We can now announce our new trustees. Jane Freeman is Chair, Michelle Carter as Secretary and Scarlett Bryant as our Treasurer. Our newest trustees are Nicki Greer, Natalie Reeds, Melanie Aldred, Michelle Summers, Helen Barber and Natalie Mathews Bunting.

We are very sad to lose Edward Davis-Hofbauer who with Michelle Carter and Scarlett Bryant has spent many voluntary hours making FASS as strong as it is today. We all wish him lots of luck in all his future ventures.

Anyone wanting to get involved with FASS please email us on admin@fass.org.uk for more information.
